Ralco Welcomes Taylor Husz to Growing Ruminant Team

Ralco is excited to announce the addition of Taylor Husz as Associate Ruminant Nutritionist. Husz joins Ralco after receiving her bachelor's degree in animal science and first master's degree in animal science from Oklahoma State University, followed by her second master's degree in animal science from West Texas A&M University.

At Ralco, Husz will assist cow-calf, stocker and feedlot customers by formulating rations and minerals and providing on-farm visits. She’ll also be heavily involved in research of Ralco’s patented feed ingredients in the ruminant lab at the Jon Knochenmus Center for Innovation.

“I chose Ralco because of the culture and where I see Ralco’s patented ingredients taking us in the future," said Husz. “The livestock industry is in the middle of several changes that could benefit from Ralco’s natural approaches. With regulations like GFI 263, livestock producers are looking for non-antibiotic solutions to raise their animals. We can give them proven alternatives that work.”

Ralco’s feed ingredients include patented Microfused® Essential Oils, patented Microbial® Catalyst and Actifibe® Prebiotic. Research shows that these ingredients can help improve feed to gain, reproduction efficiency and overall health status for cattle operations both large and small.

Huszs’ goal is to help Ralco customers be successful in their own operations by improving feeding management, rations and other nutrition goals. “I’m here to listen to our customer’s problems and provide a cost-effective solution,” added Husz.

“The addition of Taylor adds another level of expertise to the ruminant team as we continue investing more in feedlots across the nation,” said Diane Wagner, Vice President of Innovation. “With her nutrition knowledge and years of experience showing cattle, she has what it takes to help our beef customers succeed and our show customers when needed.”

Husz grew up in Maryville, Missouri on a seedstock cow-calf operation with purebred Angus and Charolais cattle. She has a passion for the beef industry, showing cattle at local, state and national levels including serving on the Charolais junior board. Today, Husz is involved in the American Angus Association, American-International Charolais Association, American Society of Animal Scientist, American Registry of Professional Animal Scientist, Plains Nutrition Council, and National Cattlemen’s Beef Association.
