In a study with 60,000 finishing pigs on farms that commonly had HBS, Ralco helped reduce mortality by 87.5%. Pigs on the Ralco health plan were 8.5 times more likely to survive.
In another study, a 7,000-sow farrow-to-finish farm in Pennsylvania was experiencing a persistent E. coli challenge in their nursery pigs. After implementing the Ralco health plan scours reduced and resulted in 2.7 more pigs per sow per year. This increased income by $108 per sow per year x 7,000 sows = $756,000 more for the producer.
