Grow-Finish Nutrition

Less Waste. More Pounds.

Profit is made or lost in the grow-finish phase, and it all comes down to how well pigs convert feed. That’s why Ralco’s EnMAX® nutrition is designed to reduce waste, lower ingredient costs and improve feed efficiency without sacrificing performance. Fewer fall-behinds. More full-value pigs.

MORE PRODUCTS

Energy Maximizing Diets

EnMAX nutrition is built on Net Energy formulation and delivers more usable energy per pound of feed, optimizing digestibility and eliminating costly waste.

Benefits

Better feed efficiency without added fat

Fewer fall-behinds and more full-value pigs

Lower feed cost per pound of gain

Flexible ingredient options to control cost

What Makes EnMAX Diets Different?

A person holds a pile of yellowish animal feed above a feeder in a pig pen, with several pigs visible in the background.

EnMAX diets break away from the traditional high-fat, high-soybean meal approach to formulation. By using more corn and crystalline amino acids, pigs get the nutrients they need without the waste that slows them down or costs you more money.

These diets use Net Energy to reflect how pigs actually utilize nutrients for growth, not just digestion. That leads to less digestive stress, cooler pigs and improved feed conversion.

Key Differentiators

  • Net Energy formulation directs nutrients toward gain
  • Lower crude protein reduces nitrogen and ammonia output
  • Crystalline amino acids meet needs without oversupply
  • Patented enzyme technology unlocks hidden energy
  • More corn, less soybean meal reduces cost and digestive stress
  • Lower heat increment supports intake during heat stress

Better for the Barn, and the Environment

EnMAX diets don’t just cut costs, they reduce excess waste. Because these diets are lower in crude protein, pigs excrete less nitrogen in their manure which means less ammonia in the air and fewer challenges with storage and application.

Pigs on EnMAX also drink less water, leading to lower manure volume overall. In one large comparison study, pigs fed EnMAX consumed 36 fewer gallons of water per head, an advantage that adds up fast when you’re managing pit space and pumping schedules.

Infographic showing that a 1% decrease in crude protein leads to 3% less water consumption, 10% less nitrogen in manure, 10% less ammonia released, and 5% less manure volume.

Case Studies

2,400-Head Wean-to-Finish Trial

  • $5.91/head lower feed cost
  • 2.17% lower mortality
  • 1/3 the fat and less soybean meal per pig
  • Equivalent performance with 5 fewer days on feed
  • Over $7,000 saved in feed cost

14,000-Head Comparison Across 7 Barns

  • $7.13/head lower feed cost
  • 1.34% lower mortality
  • 49 lbs less soybean meal and 40 gallons less water per pig
  • Similar performance with significantly reduced inputs
  • Nearly $50,000 saved in feed cost across the barns
