RESEARCH PROVEN

University research confirms the reproductive and performance benefits of Rumatec minerals with Microbial Catalyst (MC100) in cow-calf herds.

Study 1: Improved Reproduction & Calf Growth

Study EXP 09-02 | Kansas State University | MC100

  • +0.3 increase in cow body condition score
  • +14 lbs. adjusted calf weaning weight
  • +9% timed AI pregnancy rate
  • +3% overall pregnancy rate
  • +0.38 lb./day late-season calf ADG advantage as forage quality declined
  • $67/head economic advantage from combined improvements
Bar graph titled "Greater Weaning Weights" shows adjusted weaning weight (lbs) for two groups: Control (~625 lbs, gray bar) and Microbial Catalyst (~635 lbs, green bar). The Microbial Catalyst group is higher.
Bar graph showing change in body condition score (BCS) units. The control group has a small increase (~0.07), while the microbial catalyst group has a larger increase (~0.35). P<0.01 indicates statistical significance.
Bar chart titled "Overall Pregnancy Rate" comparing Control and Microbial Catalyst groups. Control has a lower percentage, while Microbial Catalyst reaches about 92%. Percent axis ranges from 87 to 95.
Bar graph comparing pregnancy rates for Timed Artificial Insemination: Control group at about 49%, and Microbial Catalyst group at about 58%. The Microbial Catalyst group shows a higher pregnancy rate.

Study 2: Improved Fiber Digestion & Energy Supply

Study EXP R06-02-B | West Virginia University | MC100

  • +11.5 points NDF (neutral detergent fiber) digestion
  • +15% propionate production, improving glucogenic energy for milk, reproduction & growth.
  • Acetate: propionate ratio improved
  • Dry matter digestion increased +7.2 points
Bar graph comparing digestibility of neutral detergent fiber in corn-silage-based diets. Trial 1 and Trial 2 both show higher percentages with microbial catalyst (green bars) compared to control (gray bars).
