Dr. Jennifer Young Joins Ralco as Ruminant Account Manager

May 6, 2020 | News

Ralco is pleased to announce that Dr. Jennifer Young has joined the company in the role of Ruminant Account Manager. Dr. Young will focus on serving the needs of Ralco’s cow/calf producers in western Nebraska as well as providing technical expertise to Ralco’s expanding Ruminant Team.

“Working in the beef and dairy industry, I’ve always held Ralco’s contributions to ruminant research and technology in high regard,” said Young. “I’m excited to be a part of a company that was founded on patented ruminant technology almost 50 years ago with Microbial Catalyst® and look forward to help continuing to build that legacy.”

Dr. Young joins Ralco with almost 20 years’ experience in various ruminant nutrition and research roles. Throughout her career, Dr. Young has successfully owned and operated her own consulting business, worked as a director of ruminant nutrition, supervised special cattle projects and led beef research studies with demonstrated success helping cow/calf and feedlot producers get more value out of feeds and maximize profits.

“Dr. Young’s experience and relationships in the industry combined with her accredited research background is something we’re excited to utilize not only for our Ruminant Team but more importantly for our customers,” said Director of Ruminant Sales, Tony Goebel. As a Ruminant Account Manager, Dr. Young will incorporate Ralco’s patented Microbial Catalyst into various product applications to help cow/calf producers naturally get more energy out of feed, convert more nutrients to growth and increase profits.

Dr. Young holds a Bachelor of Science in animal science from Michigan State University, Master of Science in ruminant nutrition and Ph.D. in ruminant nutrition both from North Dakota State University.

“Dr. Young’s passion for agriculture extends beyond her career and education making her a perfect fit for Ralco,” said Goebel. In her free time, Dr. Young leads and coordinates livestock judging across the Midwest along with serving on her county’s cattleman’s association. Dr. Young and her husband also operate a club calf and commercial cow herd.

Ralco is a third-generation family-owned multinational company with distribution in more than 40 countries. Ralco is a leading global supplier of natural solutions to maximize nutrient conversion in both plants and animals. Learn more at https://www.ralcoagriculture.com/.
